Weekly Theme - Navigation, Maps

I love this time of year, especially this year with the whole new decade happening.

For the last decade or so, I’ve spent the first handful of weeks of each new-year developing a plan for the next 12months.  I mean, I plan all year and but during January I fill in the blanks, I put pencil to paper, lather my office with post-it notes, pick my team’s brains and formulate the most abundant, successful, loving and challenging path forward that I can imagine.  I plan in change and make sure that I break clear out of any comfort zone I find myself clinging to.

In my studio, each week we focus on a theme that helps build momentum along the way.  I dream up themes ahead of time with attention paid to my business trajectory, desires, the season, and things that I love and seem to fit. My team focuses first on our monthly and then on our weekly themes as we develop our path forward.

This week’s theme is Navigation and Maps.  I love maps and traveling but, for me, this week’s theme is more about an inner journey than any sort of tangible destination or itinerary.  2020 is offering us afresh start.  As we walk into this new decade I’m really excited to have a renewed method of connecting here with you.  It brings me such a sense of excitement to realize my years old dream, by simply showing up here and being consistent.

Consistency has been my obstacle – easily distracted with more immediate demands and tending to put the commitments I have made to myself last.

Does this sound familiar to you?

Can you relate?

It is clear that my desired results are different than what I have created thus far in my life so this year I am committing to consistency.  For me that requires a butt-ton of planning, thinking things through and reducing the ‘seat of the pants’ operative that has been my normal ever since I can remember.  This planning, scheduling, and clarity my friends, is new and I am amped right up about it!

So my theme of navigation and maps is going like this:  Navigation equals 5 Foundations to what I like to call Embraceable Living.   Before I get on a tangent about the 5 Foundations let me explain what I mean when I say Embraceable Living.

Here goes,

Embraceable Living is the idea that you have the ability to embrace yourself and your journey making choices that put you on a life path that you love.  Embraceable Living nurtures and supports everything that is magical about you.  There are no excuses, you are empowered to have fun and adventure, to feel good, to build awareness, to be accepting, empathetic, and environmentally kind. Embraceable Living is a way that we can coexist with all earthly beings with clarity, honor and respect, of the connection we all share.  Embraceable Living is a journey toward true human sustainability on planet Earth, without panic or despair but rather with joy and connection.

I am a firm believer that happy, content, upbeat and empowered people are just a whole lot more fun to be around AND I believe that finding an Embraceable Life enables us to be happy, upbeat, and empowered.

Ok, so now for the 5 foundations for Embraceable Living –which unsurprisingly circle around self-care.

1.     Hydrate

2.     Meditate

3.     Educate

4.     Journal

5.     Exercise

This week I delve into each of these foundations sharing details about how I practice and how you can get started on your journey with a manageable self-care ritual.  In the meantime, I would love to hear from you.  Please scroll down and leave a comment below.  What is on your mind to bring into your life in the next 12 months?  Now what if I told you that the thing you desire in your very core can be yours.

It can be.

I'll show you.
