Weekly Theme

The Journey

Each week I work with a theme that helps me stay focused on the path to creatively empower environmental mindfulness.  This week my theme is The Journey.

As 2019 wound to a close I got really focused on ways to grow my business and amplify my message enabling more people to benefit.

For nearly two years I have been deep diving into learning to move forward with the most fun and greatest impact and it turns out that connecting with you here, and in my social media is a great way to do just that.  See, I come to all of this having pivoted hard. When it all started back in1987, I was an art student at Massachusetts College of Art and Design selling my first product, stuffed toys called Ragamuffins out of my backpack at Grateful Deadshows.  In quick succession I moved to selling from a craft shop cooperative in Cambridge MA and then 2 years out of art school I had 40 employees, was selling at 12 tradeshows a year and supplying over 300 stores with handmade recycled wares internationally.

The journey has lead me on some pretty wild adventures and through dark times and back out into the light that showers me while I write this.

See I belong to a mastermind of over three hundred creative entrepreneurs.  We meet twice a year in person and twice a year online when we all conference and brainstorm with a handful of the MOST AMAZING coaches. This weekend one of our virtual events took place and our theme was Strategizing.  We immediately jumped in deep, identifying and then learning to stay focused on our core values.

It sounds pretty simple but any entrepreneur can tell you that days fly by and without time set aside for planning and strategizing it is totally possible and even probable that core values have not been clearlyidentified.  Big goals for the year do not get put on the calendar and days turn into weeks, then months and pretty soon the year has come to a close and, speaking from experience, the most important milestones don't get identified and sometimes even get forgotten.

So this, my friends, this journey that I am on is exciting.  It is difficult and if I let myself sink below the surface it gets dark and overwhelming.  Suddenly my goals seem outlandish and lack of worthiness seeps in between the cracks. Have you experienced anything like this?

The solution I have found is finding a band of like-minded magic-makers who catch me when I stumble and hold me up when I am down.  My mastermind group welcomes and encourages me to shine light in their shadows and support them back. They make me feel supported and loved and deeply cared for.  Honestly, no matter what your path, or dreams, or location, or stage of life you find yourself in, I highly recommend that you too find yourself a tribe of support.  Maybe that is right here with me and you and the rest of my loyal, supportive, encouraging, smart, and funny tribe of eco-living creative geniuses.

In addition to my Masterming, it is with your support that I feel supported.  Now, let me reciprocate, let yourself feel that same support on this journey.  Hang around right here, participate in the conversations and opportunities to connect. If you want more, I offer a monthly empowerment subscription that will open to new members with my shop update on Thursday evening (February 6 at 8pm EST) and I am super excited to say that I will be opening my schedule in the coming weeks to a small handful of 1:1 coaching clients. Let me know if that is of interest.

If you have a second, share this post with anyone you know who might find this place magical, nurturing, supportive, adventurous and empowering.  Scroll down and leave a comment about what you would like to find here and how I can best support you along your path.  Most of all just know, that I appreciate you and look forward to growing more connected as we journey on.
