Sweater Alchemy Drawstring Pocket Skirt

  • New York State Sheep & Wool Festival 6550 Spring Brook Avenue Rhinebeck, NY, 12572 United States (map)

Join Crispina ffrench, the mother of used clothing alchemy, for a fun-filled three-hour class at the 2018 New York State Sheep & Wool Festival. Using recycled sweaters, we will create bespoke drawstring pocket skirts for any body type.

Learn the basics of creating with used clothing and make a warm and functional skirt to wear to the show! Basic handsewing skills helpful, but not necessary. These skirts are great over yoga pants, tights, and even jeans adding a layer of warmth right where you need it, making the fall and winter a whole lot more cozy.

Materials, the use of tools, and all the guidance you need to finish your skirt in class are part of the deal. No experience necessary.

Workshop fee: $90

A material fee of $25 is included in the registration fee and includes everything you need. You might consider bringing portable lighting such as "Beam N Read."
