New Year, New Chapter - You Ready?

As the new year slips into the present I find the need to sit.  Sit to reflect, to listen, to consider, to relax. Sit with friends, kids, elders, and others. To sit is to slow.

Maybe you know of my daily meditation and short 15 minute morning yoga practice, I’ve posted about it here before.  This little introduction to a daily routine that I can take with me wherever I go is a real blessing.  It has only been in the last couple of months that this practice has been an irregular part of my day.  What I see clearly is the clarity of thought and the day-long benefit to participation.  If you know me, you know that I am not a rule follower and it is sometimes hard for me to follow the status quo, but this year is different.  It is not the fact that the calendar year is changing but more a readiness to get seriously intentional about this life I’m living.  So from here, let this focus on living my best life start each day with 30 minutes focused inward.  It feels like this sets me on a path that allows me to best serve my tribe and all living things on this sacred planet.  Ohm, and let it be filled with adventure, high-jinx, and magic!
