Last fall a couple of nice ladies from Brattleboro VT asked me to come to their town as part of their month-long community building events focused around warmth and mittens. What a cute idea! I jumped right on board, especially after my super successful book signing there last year at The Book Cellar there on Main St. So, on Sunday January 16 from 1-3 in the afternoon, there is a mitten making workshop happening at Knit or Dye where all tools and kits of materials will be provided for a tuition cost of $40. Not bad, considering you will have a new pair of mittens to wear home and the knowledge to make lots more! You can register with Rachel here.
The wheels in my brain began turning and churning while preparing for this class. I now have mitten kits available in my online shop. They come in two adult sizes S/M or M/L and include written instructions and a pattern, along with everything needed to complete a cozy pair of mitts and cost $35. Each kit is different colors/materials based on the fact that all the pieces are cut from used wool sweaters. Take a peek and see if there is a kit that piques your interest!
