Transform a pile of used wool, cashmere, alpaca, mohair and/or cotton sweaters or sweatshirts into a garment of your dreams!
All the lovely people above made the sweaters they are wearing at a workshop!
Students will learn all the ins and outs of collaging different textures and fabrics together to make an amazing garment to take home. Shaping, fit, zippers, hoods, pockets, and all sorts of embellishments will be taught. Join the bespoke magic for this weekend of creative high-jinx.
The use of all tools and materials is included in tuition although students are welcome to bring garments they would to include in their work. Be sure any materials brought along is machine washed and dried prior to the weekend.
Shire City Sanctuary is The Berkshires most notable makerspace, housed in a former Roman Catholic church right in the heart of Pittsfield. Out of town participants have lots of options for evening entertainment and places to stay.
Tuition for the weekend $395 including vegan lunch from Shire Kitchen
