Crispina is hosting a Sunday morning workshop in the heart of Kinvara at the Old Courthouse, homebase of KAVA, right in the middle of town. She will be teaching the building blocks of a making bespoke sweater (jumper if you are Irish).
A 'ChopShop' involves cutting up discarded wool jumpers and reconfiguring them into a wearable new garment. Each student should bring with them a garment they would like to use as a pattern, a sharp pair of fabric scissors and 4 -6 wool jumpers that they have collected and machine washed and dried. (it is ok if they shrink.) Yarn, pins and needles will be supplied. Simple hand construction techniques will be taught and demonstrated.
Each student will complete a kit to take home and hand sew.
Class fee is €25Pre-Register or send any questions you might have here.
